Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how GritFlow AI, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“GritFlow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our websites and use our Services. It describes what these technologies are, the specific tools we use, why we use them, and the choices you have — including how to change or withdraw your consent at any time. This policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to operate more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called “first-party cookies,” and cookies set by a party other than the site owner are called “third-party cookies.”

We also use related technologies that function like cookies, such as browser local storage, software development kits, pixels, and similar identifiers. In this policy we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies.” Cookies may persist only for the duration of your session (“session cookies”) or remain on your device until they expire or you delete them (“persistent cookies”).

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Our consent banner groups cookies into the three categories described below. Everything except Strictly Necessary cookies is turned off by default until you choose to allow it. The specific cookies set may vary depending on the pages you visit and the features you use.

Strictly Necessary Cookies (always on)

These cookies are required for the website and Services to function and to honor your privacy choices, and they cannot be switched off in our systems. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as recording your cookie preferences, maintaining a secure session, balancing load across our servers, or filling in forms. Because they are strictly necessary to deliver the Services and to remember your consent, we do not require consent to set them. The specific items we use are:

  • gf_consent — a first-party cookie (and a matching browser local-storage entry of the same name) that records the cookie categories you have accepted or declined, so we do not have to ask again on every page. Retention: cookie expires after 180 days; the local-storage entry remains until you clear it.
  • Session and security cookies — maintain a secure, functioning session and help balance load. Retention: session (deleted when you close your browser) or short-lived.

This category also covers basic functional and preference storage (for example, remembering your language or display choices). There is no separate on/off toggle for it because it is part of operating the site; it does not include analytics or advertising.

Analytics Cookies (off until you allow them)

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information, generally on an aggregated basis — for example, which pages are visited most often, how visitors move through the site, and whether they encounter errors. We use this to measure and improve performance. These cookies are set only after you allow the “Analytics” category. The tools we use are:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to measure site usage. Retention: typically up to 2 years.
  • PostHog — product analytics that uses cookies and local storage (for example, identifiers prefixed ph_) to understand product usage. We keep PostHog disabled until you grant Analytics consent. Retention: as described in PostHog’s privacy policy.
  • Vercel Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless measurement tool that reports aggregate traffic and performance without storing cookies or cross-site identifiers on your device.

Marketing Cookies (off until you allow them)

These cookies and signals support advertising measurement and audiences — for example, understanding which campaigns lead to visits and limiting how often you see an ad. They are set only after you allow the “Marketing” category. When enabled, this category governs the Google advertising signals ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization, and any advertising tags (such as Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn) that we may deploy through Google Tag Manager. We do not run advertising tags that set marketing cookies on this site at this time; this category and control exist so that any future advertising remains under your consent.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted third parties that help us operate, measure, and improve our site and Services. Subject to your consent choices, these may include:

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a tag-management tool that loads other tags subject to your consent; it does not itself set analytics or advertising cookies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • PostHog — product analytics. See PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and cookieless Vercel Analytics. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.

These third parties process the information they collect in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the policies linked above.

5. How to Control Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can exercise your preferences in the following ways:

  • Our cookie banner and “Cookie settings” control. Use the banner on your first visit, or select “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time, to accept, reject, or change non-essential cookie categories.
  • Browser settings. Most web browsers let you view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. The “Help,” “Settings,” or “Preferences” menu of your browser usually explains how, including how to be notified when a cookie is set and how to remove cookies already stored.
  • Device controls. Your operating system and device may offer additional controls for local storage and advertising identifiers.

Consequences of disabling cookies. If you block or delete cookies, some parts of our website and Services may not function as intended — for example, your preferences may not be remembered. Strictly Necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our preference tools because they are required to operate the Services and to record your consent choices.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry or legal standard for how websites should respond to DNT, our websites do not respond differently to DNT signals at this time.

Where required by applicable law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. You can also manage your choices using the controls described above.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date, and — where the change is material — we may re-display the consent banner so you can review your choices. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
